Fall Frenzy

There is just something simply magical about this time of year and every time it rolls around I seem to love it more and more.  Maybe it's the colorful leaves up Logan Canyon  or that cool nip in the air that means winter is around the corner.  Perhaps it is the taste of fresh buttery corn on the cob and juicy lump peaches bought from dainty neighborhood stands or the smell of apple pie baking in my oven. Whatever it might be there is just something wonderful about it!  Here is what we've been up to this autumn.

Live Strong

Anthony has a new passion as of late.  A few months ago we bought him his first "real" mountain bike as a graduation gift.  It took us forever to find the perfect one.  Well, he has pretty much fallen in love with his Trek and honestly it is becoming a dear member of our family.  Anthony is pretty much hard core when it comes to biking.  We've attempted to go together on a few rides, but it usually ends up with me making it half way and nearly dying. I told him if he wants children I better just watch from a distance and cheer him on.   I like to keep my wheels turning on straight paths through the quiet country lanes of Cache Valley.  A few Saturdays ago he ventured up Ogden Canyon to Snowbasin to check out the trails.  While I was making bread (my new Saturday morning ritual), I get a call from a very excited husband, telling me that he is about to see none other than THE Lance Armstrong.  As a surprise to us, Lance was actually participating in a triathalon at Snowbasin that very day. Anthony got this awesome pic of Lance running past his bike!! Pretty cool, eh?  Maybe Lance will do one more Tour de France and we can have an excuse to go to Europe... or maybe Anthony will compete in the Tour.  Wouldn't put it past him, he is pretty much amazing!
